SERVICES:
THE CARIBBEAN LOGISTICS NETWORK
CEIBA is operating the Cargo Community System for the Port and Maritime Community of Guadeloupe since 2002. This Single Window operates with the Ademar Protis Plus (AP+) system which allows all the stakeholders in the logistic chain to interface.
CEIBA is the Pioneer in in the Caribbean in implementing such technology.
It was an initiative of the Port and Maritime Association of Guadeloupe (UMEP).
The platform is enhancing port productivity while enhancing security, safety and ‘trace-ability’ of trade.
Containerized, conventional goods, bulk cargo and vehicles, are processed and handled in a secured manner through the traceability of all commercial, customs and logistics operations.
All the professions and services concerned in the maritime chain are involved, including: agents and maritime companies, Custom brokers, the port authority, Customs, warehousing agents, importers and exporters, freight forwarders, stevedores and truckers.
The French Customs has published an official statement making it mandatory for all importation and exportation of goods to be handled through the system. CEIBA has successfully conducted the implementation of the platform at all the ports of Guadeloupe and airport.
This project won the Distribution, Logistics and Transports Award in 2006 (LMI).
Advantages of such a system:
- Facilitation of Customs operations.
- Trace-ability for all stakeholders.
- Enhanced safety and security of all operations.
- Enhanced port competitiveness.
- Enhanced port productivity.
- Real-time statistical data.
THE CLOVIS PROJECT
The concept of CLOVIS consists of promoting the same type of platforms in the Caribbean in order to facilitate and to secure the exchanges, while providing the region with highly competitive ports. To allow the realization of the project, CEIBA had implemented steering committees in four partner islands: Guadeloupe, Dominica, Jamaica, and St. Lucia.
The CLOVIS project is managed by Sabine BAJAZET.
THE BECCA PROJECT: AT THE HEART OF TRADE
BECCA is a freight exchange platform for cabotage and short sea shipping in the Caribbean and Latin America promoting and optimizing shipping supply and demand.
A real Market place for Importers and Exporters to find the best Shipping Solution by posting a freight announcement and receive transport quotations.
In the next side, Maritime Operators can optimize their transport by announcing their vessels, containers or barges and find freight.
The BECCA project is managed by Pascal DESILE
