The Port Authority of Trinidad & Tobago (PATT) was seeking the training, assessment, and certification of personnel in the areas of stevedoring and longshoring. Accordingly, the Port of Port of Spain, one of the leading container port facilities in the region has embarked upon a Cargo Handling Operations Level 1 course, formulated by the Port Management Association of the Caribbean (PMAC) to ensure operational excellence, build capacity, and maintain the highest safety standards.
The training, which commenced on January 12, is delivered via face-to-face instruction by a certified and experienced instructor to sixty (60) participants divided into two (2) cohorts of thirty (30) persons each, and is accredited by the London Institute of Business & Technology (LIBT).
