Ms. Sandy Bouchenafa was born in Cayenne, in French Guiana (South America) and obtained her Bachelor degree in Business and Management with honors from the

Business School in French Guiana.

Ms. Bouchenafa joined the Grand Port Maritime de Guyane in October 2013 as Marketing and Development Secretary, then became Marketing and Development

Agent in October 2016.

In addition, Ms. Bouchenafa joined the GPM-Guyane Supervisory Council in 2017 as a member representing the employees of the GPM. She has experience working on

public relations, commercial, communication and institutional communication, and is also bilingual in English and French.

Ms. Bouchenafa was appointed to her inaugural term as Executive Assistant of the Port Management Association of the Caribbean (PMAC) on October 01, 2025.
